What happens in Vegas...

Okay, nothing like that happened, but we had a lot of fun anyway!  We went to celebrate Nikki's 2*th birthday and the main attraction was the Cirque de Soleil show, "Love".  The show was really cool and set to the Beatles music.  It seemed to be a mix between a play and a circus.  I wish we could've used our camera in there, but we did get some good pics of Vegas.  Check 'em out!

Scoot-a-que X

This past weekend, Nikki, Sean and I took part in the 10th annual Scoot-a-que scooter rally in Columbus, OH.  I ride a white Kymco People 150 and Sean drives an Aprillia Atlantic 200.  We arrived at the North Market Saturday morning for the breakfast which was surprisingly good.  The ride left around noon.  We went through downtown to Franklin Park for our first stop.  Then we went out east through downtown Gahanna and eventually stopped at Gatzby's, a bar in Gahanna with a large outdoor seating area.  We ordered a pizza, which was also good, and hung out there for awhile.

Scooter rallies are a lot of fun.  It's great to completely disregard traffic lights and just see this long caravan of 2-wheelers continue through an intersection.  It's also fun to see people waving to us, especially kids.  I've posted pictures here on my Flickr account.

Luc's birthday

Nikki and I were just in Cincinnati to celebrate Luc's 4th birthday party.  We brought our recently purchased Canon Rebel XTi Digital SLR camera with us and snapped some pics to document the event.  I've posted the pictures on Flickr.  Enjoy!

Laura Veirs

Last night, I went with some friends to see Laura Veirs in concert at Little Brothers in Columbus, Ohio.  My friend introduced me to her music last year (The Year of Meteors album) and I was immediately hooked.  Her voice and compositions are truly unique.  I was glad to see that her live performances are just as amazing and interesting as her albums.  I picked up her latest cd, Saltbreakers, at the show and it's just great.  Her band definitely gives the music a different sound from her last cd, without changing the overall feel.  All in all, I'm really impressed with her and her band.

Photos from Phoenix trip

Nikki and I just got back from Phoenix a couple of weeks ago and I put the pictures up on Flickr.  You can see them here.  These pictures are of us hiking Camelback Mountain, which was a lot of fun.
